The church’s liturgical year ended last Sunday with the feast of “ Christ the King” and was celebrated with majestic royal blue banner emblazoned with a golden crown hanging in the sanctuary, and the cutting and sharing of a large birthday cake .
Now we have the season of Advent, when during the four weeks leading to Christmas we are encouraged to take time in examining the significance of the birth of Jesus. Revds Peter and Denis will be leading Advent studies on Mondays at 6.00 pm (BYO tea) and Wednesdays after the 10:00 am communion service. (details below) Households are always very busy with preparations for Christmas, but the reason for the season should be top of the list for times of reflection. All welcome.
Again this year we are having a Nativity Scene display in the Foyer so bring along any Nativity Scenes you would like to share with us this week. It has been a tradition of interest to the community and enjoyed through the window wall also when the church is closed.
