Sylvia Bail was re-elected President of the Nyah West branch, and our Bendigo Diocesan President Leone Tress continued as branch secretary.
The Anglican M.U. has 4 million members in 83 countries of the world who provide Christian care for families. New members are always welcome.
Currently the local branch is assembling “ pamper packs” as pre-Christmas treats for mothers affected by the drought.
An ongoing annual project initiated by the former Swan Hill branch has been the charity concert for the Hamlin Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia. This will again be held at 2.00 pm on Sunday 28th October in the Anglican Church, with afternoon tea in the Function Centre .
The Boot and Cottage Craft Sale is on again tomorrow 9am-12pm, and the monthly Cafe Church at 5.00pm on Sunday. All age activities, some prayers and a meal make up an enjoyable family evening.
A.B.M. “ Go for Gold” donations for September came to $ 90.00, and Elijah’s jar is still supporting a school in India.
Registrations for “ Bible in the Bush” close on October 25th for the gathering at Redcliffs November 2nd to 4th.
