The Anglican Diocese of Bendigo continues to provide quality online worship led by a variety of diocesan clergy from Bendigo and around the diocese.
During the current stage three restriction this is the primary way many of our congregation are worshipping. For those without internet access we can provide some reading suggestions and reflections upon request. Leave a phone message on the office number 50322506.
The safety of church members, visitors and users of the facilities is of the highest importance to us.
The parish leadership has developed a comprehensive plan to keep people safe during this COVID-19 pandemic.
As Rector, I have appointed Mr Ian Newland as our COVID-safe Warden. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the measures we have in place please contact Ian on 5032 4581
The Rev Rae King has now been formally licenced by Bishop Matt Brain as an Honorary Assistant in the Parish of Swan Hill. Rae has worked under Bishop Matt in the Parish of Arrawang in suburban Canberra where Bishop Matt was Rector before coming to Bendigo. As many of you are aware, Rae is also Jeannette Blundell’s mother and has now moved into the Rectory with Peter and Jeannette. Once travel restrictions are lifted she will spend time in Canberra and NSW with other members of the family but this will be one of her “base camps” so to speak. When we are able to gather for public worship we will commission Rae with prayer.
CHRIST IS RISEN – HE IS RISEN INDEED
Here are a couple of local efforts at proclaiming Easter
Bishop Matt and The Dean (Elizabeth) lead us again this week. Please go to bendigoanglican.org.au and click on the blue cross and it will take you to the recorded service. Again the responses will be on the screen for you to join in.
Also under the “news and events” tab click on ‘The Spirit’ and you will find there an “Easter at Home” special edition of the Spirit with reflections and resources for your own worship. If you have young children you want to encourage in the faith at this holy time then try the website called “Sermons4kids”. I have had some great ideas from there over the years.
