Today With Jesus is the title of the study book written by Bishop Doug Stevens and could be summed up as exploring discipleship. The books cost $10 each.
Yes – we would love to see you on Sunday March 17 at 5:00pm for the next Café Church.
In February we explored some of the essential characteristics of being church. There was some great visual expressions of the ideas – well done. Our Christmas Café Church was written up in “The Spirit”, the monthly paper of the Diocese of Bendigo. Two photos of the day were included. it is great to have some Swan Hill publicity in the regional publication.
It is that time of year again when we review the last 12 months at our annual meeting. This year we will NOT require any elections. The meeting will be after the 9:30 am service on the 24th. (There will be no Nyah West Service that day)
The first Car Boot Sale of the Year is on tomorrow (Sat 19th Jan). Most other things start up from Wednesday Feb 6th onwards including the Wednesday 10am Communion service and the WAG (Wednesday Activity Group) from 11:30 that day. The first Café Church of the year will be Sunday Feb 17th at 5:00pm
What a wonderful Christmas season we are having – I hope it has been so for you. It was a delight to have 26 at the Nyah West Christmas Eve service. I think this might become a tradition for the future.
Please note that I (The Rector) am taking one week annual leave from Dec 31 to Jan 6th. As Denis is also away, Bishop Andrew will take the service at Christ Church Swan Hill on Jan 7th.
To all the Swan Hill Anglican Family and to the wider community I pray you have a happy and safe New Year period and I look forward to discovering in what ways and where God will lead us in 2019.
